I am not even a little grey
Mirror, sharpie, paper, wood, fake blood, water, original poetry, looped audio recording & video projections
I am not even a little grey is a mixed media installation of my first collection of poems. This collection is autobiographical, focusing on familial memories and past trauma. A blunt, straightforward and ruthless account of some of my hardest moments.
These memories are now re experienced, altered and re told by me as the creator, not participant. They are placed within my own home, interacting with my everyday; my bedsheets, my toiletries, the photographs I put on my walls.
Past and present are woven together, old recounts turn into ghosts in our adult lives and here, they turn into shadows, occupying every wall of my apartment.
